As my school year comes to a end, and the summer is so close I can taste it (although Mother Nature doesn't seem to know that here in Reno) I'm determined to make these warm-weather months as productive as possible.
While I fully intent to relax and hit Tahoe as much as possible, I also plan on getting some real "work" done. These plans include regular trips to the gym, a complete purge of my clothes and closets, up-keep of my garden, finish reading some books, and make a SERIOUS commitment to my blog and readers.
Bear-ing It All is going to be undergoing some changes. Not only will you notice a visual change to my page, you will also notice a change (or IMPROVEMENT) to the content. In addition to the silly stories I like to share, I will be writing about specific topics and posting on specific days.
The topics will be revealed in the next few days. If you have any suggestions, PLEASE let me know. You can email me directly at bearingitallreno@gmail.com.
Please check back often. I hope you're as excited about these changes as I am!!!
How FACEBOOK Helped Me Beat WRITER'S BLOCK

Writer's Block.
These two words have had control over my ability to write recently.
It's not like my life has been lacking in interesting events and situations that would make for great blog content. I have been a bit all-consumed with my classes and work...but there has also been some time for fun, time to try new things, and time to continue to grow my "Rolodex" of experiences and stories.
So why have I been unable to write?
I guess one never really knows why or how they slip into a pattern of Writer's Block. What people remember more is what snapped them out of their funk and inspired them to start writing again.
My moment of clarity came to me this morning. And when I say this morning, I mean EARLY this morning. For some reason I was suffering from a bout of insomnia. After lying in bed trying to get back to sleep, I opted to turn on my computer and log into Facebook (I am obsessed after all).
Though the details are irrelevant, after "playing" on my FB I came across some information that sent daggers into my heart (yes, I'm aware I'm being a bit dramatic) and set a fire in me. Some of my friends suggested that I use that flame for a confrontation. Not being one who enjoys unneeded drama, I opted to use the fire burning in my soul as fuel to motivate me to get back to writing. The nudge from my friend and fellow-blogger Steph (check out her blog here) was also helpful (THANKS GIRL!!!).
While I have nothing too profound to say at the moment, I see this just as my warm-up for a marathon of blogging that is on its way. You see I am officially on Spring Break, which is just another perk of working for the school district (click here to read about some of the other perks). For the next week or so I will have ample time to fill all of you loyal readers in on the roller coaster that I call my life.
Those who know me, know that I'm a "glass half full" kind of girl. I'm also a huge fan of the Yiddish (Jewish?) saying, "What seems like a blessing may be a curse. What seems like a curse, may be a blessing."
In this case I'm thankful for that anonymous Facebook friend for making the choice they did. It has allowed me to wake up, open my eyes, and rejuvenate me to get back to what I'm focused on and passionate about...my writing.
And with that....my writer's block is no more!

Where to begin....
It's been nearly a month since I posted last. How is it the end of February already?
My life has been a whirl-wind recently and having it slow down enough to focus on a blog has seemed almost impossible. The strange thing is, it's not like I've been at a loss of things to write about. This month has been crazy busy with so many exciting events and celebrations. The blogs should have been flying off the screen and it the cyber-space world. Alas...here I am playing catch-up....
So here's a "highlight reel" of the last month. I may revisit some of these topics later, but if I never get around to it, at least we're all updated for the present moment.
Bye-bye baked goods
Sometime in the beginning of February, I swore of gluten. Some of it was I was ready for a change. Some of it was I felt sluggish. Some if it was influenced by my dad who has been gluten-free (and feeling great) for over 10 years. What ever motivated me, I've stuck to it (for the most part) for almost a month. No bread, no pasta, no floor tortilla quesadillas. And you know what? It hasn't been nearly as difficult as I would have imagined. Who knows how long I'll stick with this, but right now I'm happy and feeling good.
Laissez les bon temps rouler -- Let the good times roll
My 28th Birthday was celebrated in the grandest of ways! I started my day off with new tattoos with one of my besties. Then my other best friends planned a Mardi Gras themed birthday party, that was...dare I say it...EPIC! I was surrounded by all of my closest friends. Dinner was Mexican (the margaritas flowed). The cake was gluten-free (and was DE-LISH). The party bus and the mayhem that ensued was priceless (and the pictures don't even do the night justice). And I have to say this was absolutely the best birthday ever! I was in complete bliss that my yin and yang group of friends were able to come together for my birthday and have an outstanding time.
Of course there is so much I could write about: the scavenger hunt for bars, distribution of beads, the GRENADE whistle, my friends knowing me well enough to completely embarrass me (an almost impossible task), karaoke at the El Cortez, a plethora of drinks and shots, hotel check-in at 5:45am, endless laughs, and unforgettable memories. But...we'll just leave it at that ;-)
Then came the sickness...and the SNOW
I could feel it coming on. It was the pressure in my head. It was the sweats while sleeping. It was the feeling of my throat being on fire. I knew I was getting sick! After struggling through a day of class and work (and hearing from everyone that I didn't look "good") I got in to see my doctor. He prescribed me a Z-Pack and said if it was a bacteria, I would be better within 24 hours. If it was a virus, I was pretty much SOL until my body fought off the foreign invasion. On top of the Z-Pack, I self medicated: theraflu, echinacia, vitamin c, Airborne, Sudafed, and Mucinex.
The next few days were a blur. The snow began to fall HEAVILY in the middle of the week, and didn't let up for over 72 hours. The Truckee Meadows became a winter wonderland. I just became sicker. Since I had my tonsils removed almost three years ago, I have been sans-sickness. This year, it seemed the flu hit me hard. Sick-days and snow-days. That was the extent of my week.
An Engagement Engagement
The weekend brought me to El Lay for my brother and his fiance's engagement party (read about the engagement HERE). I left the snow, and entered the rain. The whole weekend was a blast: tapas and endless wine (with my Momma, brother, and his best friends), an excursion to Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade and farmers market (until we got rained out), bonding with my furry nephew Beckett, an engagement party to end all engagement parties in a private suite (in a super-cute renovated hotel in Venice, one block away from the beach), quality time and great conversation (along with sunshine, a good meal and a walk along the beach) with my dad and brother, and a blurry flight home back to the cold.
Although the whole weekend was 72 jam-packed hours, the highlight was by far the engagement party for my brother Dan and my soon-to-be SIL (sister-in-law) Lauren. Lauren's best friend (and maid-of-honor) planned and organized the whole party, and what a party it was. I felt so honored that she included me in some of the planning and I loved laughing and crying with her as we previewed the slide-show and came up with game questions.
The whole night ultimately was a love-fest. It was so cute to see how in love my brother and Lo are. Everyone ate (there was a plethora of cheese...the bride's #1 request), we drank (there was an open bar, with an entertaining bartender who had a heavy poor), we laughed (endlessly), and we cried.
Actually, I sobbed....a few times. Lauren officially asked me to be one of her bride's maids and the way she asked, and what she said, was some of the most touching, heartfelt expressions that I've ever heard....cue tears here. That touching moment filtered into a brother-sister pow-wow where Dan, Lo, Lo's brother Steven, and myself had a mushy-conversation which yes, brought on the water-works. I drank shots, laughed, and teased around with my "little-brothers" (my brother's friends who I have adopted as family). I giggled and drank champagne with the girls (Lauren's friends who I'm just getting to know). I had good conversation with both of my parents, and was happy to have everyone together in one place. It was truly a magical night and if this little 30 person party is any portrayal of the wedding...oh baby, I can't wait!
Sunday-Funday and a BLUR of a week
Leaving "La-La-Land" and the Sunshine State was difficult, especially when it meant coming back to the cold in Reno. Knowing my friends were in the midst of a "Sunday-Funday" took the edge off the frigged temperatures. Between airport bars and Southwest drink coupons, I was buzzing good by the time I met up with my Bestie. It was good to catch-up with her about the weekend's events. My Sunday-Funday turned into a Manic Monday (which I was lucky to have off). I spent the day recouping, studying, and trying to get my ass in gear for the week ahead.
The rest of the week is a blur...simply because I was going a million miles a minute. And it was actually a great week! Classes were great, I started feeling better, and work was fantastic and went so smooth. As my Friday ended, I found myself wishing for repeats of the week. The work-week ended with another blizzard, my principal sending everyone home as soon as the kids left the building, drinks with the girls, and calling it a night before 9pm.
And here I am. It's Saturday morning. The sun is out, and the snow is beginning to melt. And although I'm not physically hung-over today, I find that emotionally I am. Just a little. It happens to the single-girl sometimes. But feeding that hang-over is unproductive, so instead I'm staying busy: blogging, studying, doing catch-up work, and cleaning my room. Then it's a night out with the girls.
In conclusion
It feels good to back. And I mean "back" in many ways. Good to be back writing. Good to be back to feeling well. Good to be back to reality and being productive. Good to be back to myself.

Well...vacation has been AH-MAZE-ING so far. Since 3:30 last Friday I haven't been doing much. I have been very productive at relaxing, "celebrating", and sleeping.
I have been running at top speed for the last semester. School has DEF been a full-time job, and work (that I love) is for sure a full-time job. I have enjoyed being so busy, but I am loving having two weeks off.
Besides just getting two weeks off, I really feel like I'm embracing the holidays this year.
I'm a very celebratory person, but Christmas has always been one of my least favorite times of the year. Growing up Jewish in Reno almost made me resent the holidays. As a little girl I would get upset that no one knew what Chanukah was. It would frustrate an 8 year-old me that people would wish me a Merry Christmas. When I was editor-in-chief of my high school newspaper, I fought my whole staff against naming our holiday edition of the paper the "Red and Green". I was so against the name change because it's obvious Christmas reference that I even got my rabbi involved.
Looking back to some of those past...well...let's call them "shinanigans" I can't help but laugh (but also shake my head). Maybe it's just because I'm getting older. Maybe it's because I'm more tolerant. Maybe more open-minded? Or dare I say...maybe more mature?
I have realized that those sentiments of the past don't reflect my current mood or opinion. I have realized that I love the holidays. Yes people get crazy when it comes to shopping, but my general opinion is that people are in a better mood at this time of year. And I love all of the celebration. All of the bringing people closer. I'm thrilled that I get to see so many people and great friends that I haven't had time to connect with these past four months or so.
I still find Christmas Day a bit depressing. When the rest of the world is closed and with family, opening presents, watching football, etc...I'm home, trying to keep myself entertained. As a kid my mom would take us to the movies. I remember a great year in Vegas where we spent the day riding the rides at the MGM Grand. Now that I've gotten older some of my friends have taken mercy on me and have invited me to their Christmas Dinner. I love being included in other families traditions.
And I think that's where I have re-found my love of this time of year. I have realized that there is really no point in being resentful towards people. Unless people know me, there is really no way someone would know that I'm Jewish. Now, when someone wishes me a Merry Christmas, instead of being pissed off, I'm just thankful that someone took the time to say SOMETHING to me at all. Everyone is usually so caught up in their own worlds that a greeting can be rare. The holidays seem to bring out the good in people.
I used to call myself The Grinch. And I guess I still have a fondness for the green guy. He too hated Christmas, until he had a change of heart...LITERALLY. The Grinch's heart starts off "two sizes too small" at the beginning of the story and grows three sizes by the end.
As we are just a couple days away from Santa's arrival, I'm actually going into this year's season the happiest I can ever remember being. I feel like I'm glowing and am so filled with love and good cheer. Instead of being down about Christmas Day, I will be busy this year. Plans are in the works and I'm looking forward to spending my day with those who are close to me.
But enough with all this mushy stuff (see...what's gotten into me?!?!).
HAPPY HOLIDAYS Y'ALL!!!

Today I'm thankful for my amazing staff at work.
One of my many duties in my new job is
making sure that my site is in compliance with its grant requirements.
Meticulous data is collected several times a day,
and all of the gathered info has to be inputted into an on-line tracking system.
I have been trying to play catch-up with all my paperwork for weeks,
but my stack just got bigger and bigger.
Tomorrow is the deadline to make sure my system is up to date
(although my boss asked that it get done by 6pm today).
I was feeling a bit stressed and overwhelmed
thinking about how much work I had to do.
And this is where my AMAZING staff came to my rescue.
Everyone was so fabulous today
and allowed me to get some solid hours of undisturbed work in.
I'm so fortunate to have a great group of Teachers at my school who are willing to spend their time afterschool to insure that our students succeed.
I'm also thankful for my "support staff" that continue to impress me everyday.
I have such an unique group of staff
(a retired high school teacher, a 23 year-old college student
who coaches football,
and sweet and caring high school student worker).
They all bring something different to the job,
and I don't know what I would do without them!!!

Well, it has happened. I hate to say it, but life has finally caught up to me! Between class in the mornings, work in the afternoons, and an active social life....my dear blog has been neglected.
School is good, but I have so much reading that I have to admit it's kicking my ass a bit. I am LOVING my new job and feel very blessed to have such great co-workers, amazing staff at my middle school, and a fun group of teens to work with everyday. And my social life? I have found that I don't have as much time to play as I did when I was "enjoying" my FUNemployment, but my social agenda is just as "interesting" as ever (my best friends can attest to that).
The one thing that I have not made any time for is this blog. I am actually disappointed that I haven't written anything since LAST Tuesday. There has been several times that I have turned on my computer, read my Huffington Post, and then fallen asleep before I had a chance to write a damn thing.
BOO ON ME!!!
Is it sick to admit that I was actually going through a bit of withdrawals from blogging? I have really begun to enjoy writing this little thing and I feel like a piece of me has been missing since I haven't been on here. It is nice to be back.
To my loyal readers, I'm sorry to leave you hanging for the last week. I'm a work in progress (as is this blog) and I will make a valiant effort to not let this amount of time lapse between entries again. As my blog is called "Bear-ing It All", I also hope that you all BEAR with me!
My next blog is an interesting one (or at least I hope it is perceived that way). And actually, after you read my next post, please comment! I would love to hear your opinions.
So until then my dear ones....
It's in the Stars...

How often do you read your horoscope? Have you had your palm read?
With that said, I think it's interesting how very accurate predictions can be or how it seems like the phrase "it was in the stars" is true beyond words.
My best friends "aunt" (it's easier to describe her as that, as opposed to saying my best friend's mom's best friend) reads palms. Every time we go down to Vegas and stay with her she looks at how things have changed. The things she's "seen" in my hands have been dead on:
- I like the finer things in life (not meaning so much that I'm a "brand whore" but more so I'm the type of girl who would prefer a weekend at a spa over a weekend roughing it in the wilderness)
- I worry about the well-being of others before I put myself first
- I enjoy traveling/I am WORLDLY
- I'm in a profession where I'm surrounded by kids
A few months ago, my mom asked if I wanted to join her at a psychic convention that was in town. I thought it would be an interesting experience (it was) but it also put be smack-dab in wack-a-doo central. Crystals everywhere. People having their aura's cleansed by a didgeridoo looking thing. Some guy chanting and dancing in weird, strange tongues.
There were also people doing Tarot Card and Palm Readings. Still curious by my BFF's aunt's discovery in my life-line I went for the palm reading option. He did a little pre-interview but I was very vague. I didn't want to give him any information that he could then use to try to "trick" me into a prediction. Again, he was oddly accurate. Through reading my palm he told me:
- I enjoy helping others, and I do this as a career (he guessed that I worked in Social Services...CORRECT)
- I pass knowledge on to others (correct again, I have taught classes to youth in the community for years)
- I often forget to take care of myself because I am busy taking care of others
- I am destined for great things (WELL OF COURSE)
- THE POSITIVE OUTLOOK: That everyone assumes or sees me taking one path in life. However I am going to do the complete opposite and surprise everyone. And this ties into the whole "destined for great things" part. For example, if everyone saw me as a simple teacher, I would in fact, go on to be a teacher-of-teachers. Or something like that? Again, I'm not up on all this palm-reading lingo!!!
- THE NEGATIVE OUTLOOK: That things are going to go REALLY BAD sometime...possibly soon. My world is going to be rocked, turned upside down, inside out, hit by a train, etc. This experience will help me grow, make me stronger, and refocus me. I will make it through "it" triumphant and more successful, and a happier, healthier person.
Again, let me stress that I find this stuff interesting but I will never change my life because some guy with a ponytail told me that things may go to shit. I just put it on the back-burner in my brain in case I may need that information later.
In addition to having my palm read and internalizing the prospect of my own personal "fall of Rome", several people over the last few months have mentioned the phenomenon of "Saturn Cycles" or the "Return of Saturn".

Return of Saturn? Real or BS?
Basically (without weighing you down with all sorts of mumbo-jumbo) the "Saturn Return" is an astrological phenomenon that occurs at the ages of 27-30, 58-60, 86-88, etc., coinciding with the time it takes the planet Saturn to make one orbit around the sun.
It is believed by astrologers that as Saturn "returns" to the degree in which it occupied at the time of birth—approximately every 29.5 years—a person crosses over a major threshold and into the next stage of life.
- With the first Saturn Return, a person leaves youth behind and enters adulthood.
- With the second Return, maturity.
- And the third and usually final Return, a person enters wise old age.
But the Saturn Return is not all about painful endings. It has been noted that during this time people tend to gain a better vision of where they are going in their life. Many major life milestones seem to happen around the ages of 29 and 30. This is why astrologers believe that the thirtieth birthday is such a major rite of passage because it marks the true beginning of adulthood, self-evaluation, independence, ambition, and self-actualization.
My mom said she has entered her second Saturn Cycle. From her 30s to late 50s she was a mother, a wife, and a full-time employee. Then things changed around her 60th birthday. Yes she's still a mom, but my brother and I don't live with her or need her on a daily basis (LOVE YOU MOM). My mom is now retired. And my mom is single (my parents divorced a few years back). There was a tough period for her, but now she has a new release on life. She seems happier, more confident, and more independent.
So knowing all of this, I can't help but wonder if I've gone through my Saturn Cycle? I am on the tail-end of my 27th year on this earth. That puts me smack-dab in the middle of the Return of Saturn. I have had some really rough (low) moments this year, but at the same time I've had some really fantastic ones too. For example, I lost my job, but I found a FABULOUS one in return.
But for some unexplained reason, I'm hesitant to say that my Saturn Cycle is complete. I've always been an optimistic, glass-half-full kind of girl but for some reason I feel like there is more shit to come. There is still time until Saturn's return and I wonder what other havoc is going to ensue.
I also can't help but wonder if this whole "Return of Saturn" thing has anything to do with the split in my life-line. One would think that there would be a direct correlation? But then again, I'm not a palm reader, an astrologist, or psychic.
So what am I going to do with all of this. Honestly? Not a damn thing. I will continue to live my life to the best of my ability each day. I won't live my life on regrets. I WILL put myself first. Because by taking care of myself, I will be more able to do what I love (taking care of others). But if (and when) things get bad....and then get REALLY GOOD, I will blame it all on SATURN!!!

Within my first hour of training I found out that I'm eligible for complete benefits (which includes full medical coverage). I have been without health insurance for more time then I would like to admit, and I'm thrilled to know that in a mere 90 days I will have excellent dental, eye, and health care! Even better is all of my current doctors are covered by the School District's plan so I don't have to change anything.
While some people hate going to the dentist, I LOVE IT! There is nothing like the feeling of freshly cleaned and polished teeth. After almost a year of putting it off, I can't wait to see my dentist and get a good cleaning. When it comes to my eyes, I'm blind as a bat without my contacts or glasses. I had my eyes checked recently for my CDL (Commercial Drivers License) Renewal but did it at a WalMart Vision Center. I can't wait to go back to my dreamy optometrist and gaze into his eyes has he inspects mine!
The good news continued today as soon as I got into the office and met with my new boss. She immediately had me whip out my calendar and asked me to block off three days in October. Turns out there is a state-wide conference in Vegas in the middle of next month and my attendance is requested. By the time I left work today my airfare had been booked, hotel room had been confirmed (we're staying at Planet Hollywood), my conference registration had been paid for, and I was grinning from ear to ear.
Not only do I love to travel, I love attending conferences, meeting new people, and gaining new information and skills. I'm even more excited about this trip because 20+ of my coworkers will be going to this conference with me, and it will give me a perfect opportunity to get to know everyone! And Vegas twice in a month? How did I get so lucky?
So with all that said, I'm going to end this blog and start working my way through my 6+ inch thick Program Implementation Manual that I was given today. Time to figure out what exactly is expected of me in this new job. Minor details right? Tee-Hee.

So long FUNemployment...it's been grand.
Technically, I have been working since I was 15 (when I started teaching in my Temple's Sunday School). This recent period from July through the present has been the first prolonged period of time I haven't worked. Even while I lived abroad in Romania I ended up finding a job teaching students conversational English.
So this period of unemployment (which I dubbed FUNemployment instead) was rough for me. I definitely developed a thicker skin through the job-seeking process, and learned a lot about myself. The road to employment wasn't an easy one though. Everything "they" say about the difficulties in finding a job are true. Not very many jobs (or at least in the field I was looking) and lots of people applying. Looking for a job became a job. Endless hours were spent on-line searching job-seeker websites, rewriting and revamping resumes, filling out applications, returning phone calls, going to interviews, and waiting for callbacks or responses. All of this to either be declined or told "it was between you and another person" and ultimately getting rejected. The whole process was a bit frustrating and depressing. No one likes rejection. No one likes being told they're not good enough. It's hard not to take it all personally. I knew I had an awesome resume showing over a decade of work in the this community. I had great connections and fabulous references and recommendations. I had never had a problem finding a job before, and I kept wondering why I was striking out this time around.
But, I'm a strong believer in "everything happens for a reason" and "let go, let God". I learned to enjoy my FUNemployment (and had one of the best summers, with amazing friends, EVER). And when it came to the job hunt, everytime I was turned down, I tried to learn from the experience. As Jay-Z says, I had to "get that dirt off my shoulder" and kept on looking. And behold, the most perfect job came my way. I was told that I "blew everyone away" in the interview and that it was "refreshing" to call my references/former employers and hear such wonderful things. I'm a very humble person and prefer being the one giving the complement then receiving one (for those of you who have ever done a color-personality test, I'm a BLUE) so hearing these things made me blush a bit.
With my FUNemployment coming to an end, I have realized a few things.
- It's amazing what positivity can do!
- I am truly blessed.
- Things are never that bad, and could always be worse.
- I have an amazing, supportive family!
- I have the kindest, most wonderful friends who care for me dearly.
- Getting outside of your comfort zone from time to time is a GOOD thing.
- It's ok to be vulnerable and give up the feeling of control.
- Never give up.
- Believe in yourself and others will believe in you!
So, farewell FUNemployment...it has been a fun, crazy ride. But all good things must come to an end because I am returning to the working world!
Facebook is my CRACK

Ok, I'm the first to admit it. I'm addicted to Facebook. It's like crack to me. I check it when I wake up, I check it before I go to bed. I check it every time it bing-bongs at me and alerts me that someone has: posted on my wall, liked my status, tagged me in a picture, commented on one of my pictures, etc. And really who am I kidding? By having my other addiction (my iPhone) it allows me to have a Facebook App where I click the button more times daily then I can count.
I'm the queen of taking pictures (and then posting them within 24-hours on Facebook). My friends call me the "historian" of the group because whenever a moment needs to be captured, there I am with my camera. But just as often as they ask me to take a picture, they also come with the warning of, "You better not post the picture on Facebook Sarah" or "You can post it, just don't tag me" or even "Can you create a blocked/locked album so I can see the pix but no one else can?" I always oblige.
People ask me why I like Facebook so much. I guess I don't have a specific answer. I use my status updates more as a journal of my life, for myself. I rarely post to get a reaction or a response from others (but if people comment, even better). I like feeling connected to people, even if we're in different parts of the world. I enjoy seeing people's photos, and love seeing my friend's children grow-up. I guess it appeases the "Jewish Mother" in me and my need to be a yenta (Yiddish for a busy-body).
I have joked with a few of my friends from High School that there really is no need for our 10-year reunion next year (YIKES!!!). We all know what each other are up to via our Facebook pages and updates. So with that said, I know I'm not the only one out there who has a Facebook addiction.
While making my daily rounds of my favorite news websites today, an article about Facebook caught my eye. The article was titled 6 Things You Should Never Reveal on Facebook. They suggested that you NEVER REVEAL:
- Your Birthdate and Place
- You've basically just given identity thieves a key to stealing your financial life. A study done by Carnegie Mellon showed that a date and place of birth could be used to predict most — and sometimes all — of the numbers in your Social Security number.
- Your Vacation Plans
- By posting flights, arrivals and departures, locations and pictures it's pretty much giving criminals an open invite by telling them specifically when you'll be gone.
- Your Home Address
- Well this just seems OBVIOUS! But suprisingly some 40% of FB users listed their home address on their sites; 65% didn't even attempt to block out strangers with privacy settings. And 60% said they weren't confident that their "friends" were really just people they know.
- Any Confessionals
- Employers commonly peruse social networking sites to determine who to hire — and, sometimes, who to fire. One study done last year estimated that 8% of companies fired someone for "misuse" of social media.
- Password Clues
- If you've got online accounts, you've probably answered a dozen different security questions (your Mom's maiden name; the street you lived on as a child; or the name of your favorite song). Got that same stuff on the information page of your Facebook profile? You're giving crooks an easy way to guess your passwords.
- Any Risky Behavior You May Partake In
- Insurers are increasingly turning to the web to figure out whether their applicants and customers are putting their lives or property at risk, according to Insure.com. So you may like to go heli-skiing, or you may like to race your motorcycle at high speeds. You just may want to consider twice before posting it on your Facebook.
So with that said, I wish you all happy Facebooking. I know that I'm about to feed my addiction, log on, and post this very blog, After all, it's been a solid three hours since I've logged on last and I'm going through withdrawals.
